Building Phase:
After all the components arrived I made quick work of the assembly. This was the first time I assembled a PC from scratch but I have very large amounts of knowledge concerning the building process. While assembling I made sure to follow all the directions carefully. Attaching the cables to the selected place on the motherboard was very easy.
If I had to choose a hardest part, I would go with installing the cpu's heatsink and fan. I couldn't quite figure out why it wasn't locking when I tried to push it in. That is when I noticed that the locking screws were turned to unlocked. After giving those a little twist everything locked into place (newbie mistake).
Overall the installation consisted of installing the mounting screws for the motherboard on the case. Change the back panel of the case to match the motherboard. Screw the motherboard into the mounts. Attach all the cables to case. Insert CPU into place, making sure to insert it very carefully and cautiously. Install CPU heatsink and fan. Insert the two sticks of RAM. Mount harddrive in place attaching power cable and sata cable. Insert very old 2mb PCI graphics card for video (only used temporarily). Attach case fan and close up the case.
